With the success of titles like Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG Mobile, it’s no surprise that Warzone is finally making its way to smartphone devices. There’s no denying how popular Activision’s Battle Royale title is, but Warzone could reach new heights when it launches on mobile. The switch to mobile makes sense, especially given the size of this market.
Apex Legends Mobile is undergoing extensive testing, so it’s important that Warzone join the fray as soon as possible. It’s not clear if the mobile version of Warzone will be combined with the PC and console versions, but we do know a few things about the upcoming release.
CoD leaker Tom Henderson has revealed that Warzone Mobile is in the works and will be released in 2022. The news comes after Activision confirmed its upcoming projects on PC and consoles,
with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 confirmed as standalone titles. While Activision has yet to confirm, industry insider Tom Henderson believes the game will be released later this year.

Not much is known, but it’s expected to release this year.
The topic of discussion of Warzone came to the fore the previous year when Activision announced in a LinkedIn post, “Activision Mobile has put in new roles! Teams focus on direct operations and expanding content across CoD Mobile and Warzone.”
The official Call of Duty website for more Of the 50 jobs, many of them was geared toward a “new mobile address”. Activision likely wants this information to become more widely known in order to compete with EA/DICE’s Battlefield Mobile.
Regardless, if the upcoming mobile title is released later this year, players can expect to receive a notification from Activision about experimental gameplay. As with COD Mobile in 2019, beta testing is expected for a few months before the title is officially released.
