PUBG Mobile gets major updates each two-month period. The current 2.1 update is scheduled to expire this morning (13 September) as well as the 2.2 update will be released shortly after. The update will start rolling out at 11 AM (UTC +0).

Similar to the other major updates to PUBG Mobile, the forthcoming 2.2 update will include many options that enrich gaming BR gameplay experience.

1) New map – Nusa

A brand new 1×1 map, Nusa, will be released in the September update. Nusa is 7th classic mode maps following the Erangel map, Miramar the Sanhok map, Livik, Vikendi, and Karakin. But, unlike the other maps of classic modes its smaller size will guarantee that players are engaged in fighting throughout the game.
The map is set on a tourist-friendly island this map will include a number of features like lifts special recall ziplines, beachballs and ziplines. New weapons such as the NS2000 Shotgun along with Tactical Crossbow, along with two-seater vehicles like Quad which will be the exclusive features on Nusa. Nusa map.
The map will launch by PUBG Mobile on the 15th of September at 22:00 AM (UTC +0)
2) Changes to Erangel
Erangel is the sole map available with an update pre-downloaded and is also an extremely played maps available in the game. In the end, Tencent Games is all set to bring a variety of new features in Erangel in the 2.0 Version of Erangel.

4) New Season and Royale Pass
As with all major updates, this 2.2 update will include the addition of a Royale Pass (Month 15) as well as a new season (Cycle 3 Season 8). The newly released Royale Pass will bring in numerous cosmetics and other items as rank rewards and the next season is also expected to provide Tier rewards.
However it is expected that the C3S8 along with the Month 15 RP will only be available on the 21st of September.
5) Other noteworthy changes
A brand new themed area in European style known as Strange Town will be available on the map that ranks Erangel. The area is accessible to players while playing the map between 22:00 am on September 29 until 11:59 pm on the 14th of November (UTC + 0).
Alongside this, major enhancements were made air-drop only weapons such as AUG A3 and Mk14. Also, changes have been implemented to DMRs such as SKS and Mini14 to give a better shooting experience.
The developers have announced that the Halloween-themed mode will debut within the game from the 13th of October after an absence of two years.
